What’s included in your service?
For a €250 activation payment, we begin a full, hands-on rental search that includes:
Selecting properties that match your needs and budget
Searching both public listings and our private contact network
Attending viewings (with or without you) and sending detailed photo/video reports
Crafting a standout rental application to boost approval odds
Reviewing the lease to flag and negotiate unfair terms
Helping you set up housing and utility accounts after move-in
When we secure a property you’re happy with, you pay the remaining success fee (equal to your monthly rent minus the €250 already paid) directly to our partner agency. Rent, deposits, landlord agency commissions, and monthly bills are separate and paid directly to the landlord.
Is the activation fee refundable?
No. The €250 activation payment is non-refundable. You only pay the partner agency’s success fee if we secure a property for you.
Do you provide support after I move in?
Yes. We’ll assist with utility setup, provide local area tips, and remain available for questions while you settle in.
How long does the rental search process typically take?
Most clients secure a rental within 2–4 weeks of activating our service. However, we work without time limits until you find the right property. The timeline can be affected by your location preferences, budget, and the time of year.
What happens if I don't find a suitable rental?
We keep searching until you’re satisfied. There’s no limit on the number of properties we’ll present or the duration of our work. Our high success rate comes from understanding your needs thoroughly during the initial consultation.
Can I visit properties in person before deciding?
Absolutely. While we can handle the process 100% remotely, we’re happy to arrange in-person visits if you’re in Portugal. Many clients opt for our detailed virtual tours for convenience.
What documents do I need to provide?
Typical requirements include proof of income, employment verification, a passport copy, and references. We’ll guide you step-by-step and help you prepare a strong application package.
How do payments work?
You pay €250 to Novomove to activate the search. Once you sign a rental agreement, you pay the remaining success fee (equal to your monthly rent minus €250) directly to our partner agency. All other rental payments are paid directly to the landlord according to standard Portuguese rental terms.
